duane

 a home for rejected poems

We'd like to thank featured artist Duane Kirby Jensen. He was inspired to paint, as a toddler, while he watched his grandmother and great aunt paint scenes of their Stanwood, WA community. He comes from a long line of painters, photographers, carvers, inventors and storytellers. In the 1990's he owned and operated and art gallery, published Everett's Independent Voice (an arts and entertainment magazine) and The Drifter, a poetry magazine. He also coordinated the Mill Town Poets Open-Mic. Since 2000, he has refocused on painting and poetry, through which he pursues the narrative line: The Beauty of Loss and Longing. Duane lives in Everett, WA.
