Leah Iannone was born and raised in Southern New Jersey. Despite popular belief, she does not enjoy long walks on the beach, but rather shorter bouts of skipping. She moved to New York in 2003 and received both her BA and MFA in Creative Writing from the New School, where she is now a full time employee in their Writing Program. Iannone lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn and is very happy there despite trying her hardest to hate it because it’s a borough. Her work has appeared in 12th Street Literary Journal, Newsweek online, The Best American Poetry blog, and Alimentum.
